The Shed

The goal of Group PS2124 for this project is to develop a solution that will replace the current system of The Shed at Mount Druitt. This solution shall provide the staff with the ability to perform data processing and manage cases in a more efficient and effective manner as compared to what is in place.

The client has noted several limitations and shortcomings of the current system (SharePoint), as well as the inefficiency of the system in performing certain tasks. These concerns have been taken into consideration while planning and developing the new system.

Functional and non-functional requirements have been extensively formulated with the goal of providing a highly improved user experience and efficiency in time and effort. For the new system, a web-based solution has been developed using the Model-View-Controller design pattern implemented through a combination of MariaDB and PHP for the backend, and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend.

Together, our team has been able to produce a web-based solution that provides the members of The Shed with a highly improved experience for their day-to-day operations with additional flexibility for future expansions.
