Corinth Forsaken

Corinth Forsaken follows suit in the roguelike genre, including randomised loot, ability/stat increases, and procedural generation. However, unlike many roguelikes Forsaken takes a 3rd-person approach while exploring the idea of interchangeable attacks in an experimental combo system with the ability to power up attacks in the column or row of the combo.

Forsaken throws the player in an unfamiliar place with the sole goal of surviving and escaping. The player is first confronted by an ever-changing cave dungeon making each re-run unique and interesting. The player will encounter various weapons with randomised stats as well as  3 different types of attack types. These attack types are piercing, blunt, and slash which enemies will be weak or resistant to different attack types making having multiple weapons viable.

While exploring the player will encounter a key holding enemy that serves as a mini-boss which provides a way to silently train the player to counter the boss. After the mini-boss has been defeated the door to the boss room can be opened where the player will be engaging in a tough fight. Once the player is triumphant, another door opens leading the player to the second level where the mechanics of the first level is demonstrated in a more profound and challenging way.
